The hormagaunts are swarming us!

Well I finally got the 18 Hormagaunts and one Genestealer completed on Friday.  I still have to put lemon yellow highlights on everything from the last 2 weeks.

I put washers on the bottom of all my models now it just helps with them tipping over. I will slowly be going back and doing that to all my models as well as rebasing my Emperors' Shadows.

I promptly started my next diorama Friday night as well.  This is brother Darnath who is the last of his devastaor squad.  Their Rhino hit a land mine and flipped over the tank trap.  The Hormagaunts swarmed over the rest of the squad and Brother Darnath is on top of the rhino blasting away with the heavy bolter as the oncoming horde continues to advance.  One Hormagaunt is exploding in mid air, another had its head blown off and is falling down, one is lying in a pool of its blood with its head missing and another lost its arm.  Its a little hard to pick out now but it will be more apparent next week.

Hive Fleet Ninevah is growing at an astounding rate. One of my goals in December is to post photos all of Hive Fleet Ninevah. One photo of only painted, one of unpainted and then the whole thing together.  Its going to be crazy!!!

Ohh by the way I got a great game in on Saturday!  It was only my third game this year.  I played my Necrons (thanks Steve I keep getting great comments on those) against Purple Space Marine Bike Army).  I will post some photos and a battle report later.  Thanks Russel it was a great game and I look forward to playing again.

Again thanks for looking and enjoy having your planet devoured.

Working on a test model for my Iron Warriors

Greetings all I go by FeelNoShane. I have collected The Hobbit (Warg Riders), Lord of the Rings (Riders of Rohan), Warhammer Fantasy (Orcs and Goblins), Warhammer 40k and Horus Heresy (Iron Warriors).  I have only ever completed painting my Orcs and Goblins. That changes today.  Here is the test model I'm working  on for my Iron Warriors. I had a much brighter scheme before and now I'm making more and redoing the old. The hazard striping has taken some work to get right. The chainsword is finished and I'll be fixing the striping on the leg tonight.

Not sure about the basing yet so nothing has been done. Once this fella is complete I have 19 more Close Combat Marines to go. More After Dark.

Genestealers on the hunt....for more lemon yellow!!!

This week I was well on my to finishing some Genestealers and more Tyranids but....I ran out of Lemon Yellow to finish of the carapaces.  Ohhh well I will have to order some more from the WarStore along with some Sabol Designs Foam.  I have also slowly been going back and gluing washers to the bottom of all my models so they stop tipping over on the gamin tables.

The Genestealers were so close to being done.  13 Genestealers and 2 Termagaunts.

In the meantime I started on 18 Hormagaunts that I got off ebay. I am repainting them to fit in.

Shane...Where are your posts man?  Keep up and remember sleep is a crutch.

Hive Fleet Ninevah is upon us!!!!

So I am finally getting around to updating the blog my brother started.  He challenged me at the beginning of the year to paint as many of my models as possible.  I am a newbie to blogging and an all around electronic dummy so it took me a while to figure out how this blog site works and I only know the very basics.  Despite me not updating the blog I have been a very busy painter after dark.

I will post some pictures of all the models I have built and painted so far this calendar year.  I hope you all enjoy and comments, and criticisms are welcome.

Some WIP of my hive fleet Ninevah and Emperor's Shadows (space Marines).

I have really started enjoying making dioramas as well with the end goal of having my Emperor's Shadows and Hive Fleet Ninevah being placed together on a display table representing an Apocalyptic Battle once both armies are complete.

The Chinese aren't the only ones that use sweat shops and cheap labor.  My 6yr old son Kayden is painting his first miniature.  He loves flamers!!!
