The Tormentor is taking shape

I have put it off long enough. My friend Ben donated to me some bits and a shadowsword tank to make this possible. What a great friend he’s been. Ben donated this all 2 years ago and I’ve gone all over the place trying to alter the hull, the tracks, the rear section has. Even an absolute bear to wrestle with. This week after Ben and I decided we should have an Apocalypse battle in December it was time to make it happen. The top portion is nearing completion. I combined two top turrets (one of which was from The Hivemind himself thanks man). It left a weird space on top of the hull where they connected and it took quite a while and many bits I burned though to finish it off. Here’s the top down view of the turret.

I used two top Portions of the rear engine cover for the kit to bridge the gap on top a bit more naturally. The mechanical purpose of these is subject but I think it looks like it belongs there. The ball at the rear portion of the tank will serve as the void shield. Using a cannon bit from the Shadowsword and a street lamp from the cities of death kit I think I pulled it off.

Next up was the rear ramp I made for the Primarch Perturabo to board his glorious Tormentor. The ramp is made from a Valkyrie rear door I had to trim a bit to fit there. I used an extra side armor panel to wrap around the rear of the treads on each side. This made it feel much more sturdy. I cut and replaced the fuel drums to fit the extended hull. I’m ordering some side turrets as I don’t have all the parts for the side sponsons currently. He’s a few shots of The Tormentor right now.

The next update will have some more work on the brace for the cannon barrel as I’ve extended the tank quite a bit. There are plenty of details to fill out and turrets to add. Until next time.
