Man I love my Tyranids but sometimes wish I chose a different color scheme than yellow. It takes three times as long. Ohh well I love the way they look on the table top.
Past couple of weeks I have been working on my Emperors Shadows. I have 35 Space Marine bikers but none assembled and painted so I decided to do a command squad. At least the beginnings of one. Six bikes in total right now.
Six bikers in progress. and Dreadnaught assembled.
I realized I have no special weapons bikers...so it looks like some conversions are due in the future. I will magnetize the special weapons onto the bikes when I do them. Graviton guns, plasma guns, melta guns and flamers oh my!
This is a chapter master on bike.
Four bikes completed. 1-Chapter Master with Thunder Hammer and Shield Eternal (using the Aquila on his back as a shield generator equivalent to the shield eternal). 1 -Apothecary with a power lance, Chaplain, 1- regular biker.
I decided I needed some more characters. I can dual hat some of them as characters, veterans or sternguard. The dual hammer wielding Inquisitor will be one of the main characters for the Emperor's Shadows. Still a work in progress for painting but was converted from the Blood Angels Captain in the DeathStorm box.
It tried a couple of the 32mm base extensions that were cast be some one and they are alright. You get what you pay for. I saw some plastic ones online I may try out. I'm only going to put them on the characters from here on out. Certainly not rebasing all my Marines.
I decided to rebase some of my old Tech Marines so they match my new rubble style bases.
I have proxied a couple of games the venomthropes and they are well worth the investment. So of course I over do everything and bought 9. You know just in case I do an Apocalypse game or something. Plus the models just look awesome.
Built 3- new zoanthropes and 9- Venomthropes.
Finally finished up the Callidus assassin. She equals a dead Space Marine Squad when she arrives. I want to use her in my next game.
Tech Marine getting the rebase treatment.
Finally finishing my first of 5-thunderfire cannons to come.
Thunderfire Tech Marine Finished.
Thanks for looking. May your paint brush never be dry.
I really like the Grey on red! Your models are very dynamic!
